Foaling Season
The season of promise.
We’ve had the pleasure of successfully foaling out a wonderful variety of mares, and taking a preventative approach at every stage has truly worked for us. It begins with a healthy mare and a thoughtful, balanced feeding program. About a month before their due dates, we like to have mares settled into a consistent routine so everything feels calm and familiar.
For peace of mind, we use cameras and Breeder Alert halter systems, and we keep a close eye ourselves. Living on the property—with the barn less than a minute from our house—allows us to be present for every important moment.
These photos are a few of the foals that we have welcomed at Pheasant Run and represent a variety of breeds: Warmbloods, Ponies, Quarter Horses, and, of course, Thoroughbreds.
